1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions form the basis on which B7 Catering Ltd supplies commercial catering equipment, parts and related services.
Certain terms may apply differently depending on whether you are purchasing as a business or as a consumer. Nothing in these terms is intended to remove any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
2. Making a Purchase
Products may be selected through our website and added to your shopping cart. When you are ready to place an order, proceed to checkout and provide the information required to process your purchase.
You are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied during checkout is complete and accurate.
If you require advice regarding product suitability, dimensions, electrical requirements, gas requirements or installation, please contact us before placing your order.
3. Order Acceptance
All orders are subject to acceptance by B7 Catering Ltd.
An acknowledgement that we have received your order does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.
A contract for the sale of goods is formed when we confirm acceptance of your order or dispatch the goods, as applicable.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
- A product is unavailable
- Pricing or product information contains an obvious error
- Payment cannot be authorised or received
- We suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity
- Delivery cannot reasonably be completed
If payment has already been received for an order that we cannot accept, the relevant amount will be refunded.
4. Product Descriptions & Images
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, specifications and images displayed on our website are accurate.
Product images are provided for illustrative purposes and minor differences may occur due to manufacturer updates, production changes, screen displays or the condition of used and reconditioned equipment.
Manufacturer specifications may change without notice. Buyers should confirm any critical dimensions, capacities, utility requirements or technical specifications before ordering.
5. New, Used & Reconditioned Equipment
B7 Catering Ltd supplies new, used and reconditioned commercial catering equipment.
Used or reconditioned equipment may show reasonable cosmetic signs of previous use, including minor marks, scratches or other wear consistent with its age and previous operation.
The condition, included accessories and warranty information applicable to a product will be stated in the product description, quotation or order documentation where relevant.
6. Prices & VAT
Product prices will be displayed on our website or confirmed in a written quotation.
VAT will be applied where applicable at the prevailing rate. Customers should check whether a displayed or quoted price is stated as including or excluding VAT before placing an order.
We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors. If an error affects an order, we will contact you before proceeding.
7. Quotations
Quotations provided by B7 Catering Ltd are based on the information available at the time of issue.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, a quotation does not guarantee product availability.
Additional work, parts, access requirements, delivery costs or installation requirements not included in the original quotation may result in additional charges.
8. Payment
Payment may be accepted through the payment methods made available by B7 Catering Ltd at checkout or agreed directly with our sales team.
Orders may not be dispatched and services may not commence until cleared funds have been received, unless credit terms have been agreed by us in writing.
Where payment is processed by a third-party payment provider, payment information may be processed directly by that provider.
9. Late Commercial Payments
Where a business customer fails to pay an amount by the agreed due date, B7 Catering Ltd reserves the right to claim interest and applicable debt recovery costs in accordance with relevant UK late commercial payment legislation.
We may also suspend further deliveries, services or credit facilities while overdue amounts remain outstanding.
10. Ownership of Goods
To the extent permitted by law, title to goods will remain with B7 Catering Ltd until full payment for the relevant goods has been received in cleared funds.
Risk in the goods may pass at a different time, including upon delivery, depending on the nature of the transaction and applicable law.
11. Delivery
Delivery availability, charges and estimated timescales may vary depending on the product, delivery location and equipment size.
Any delivery date or timescale provided is an estimate unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Large commercial equipment may require suitable vehicle access and appropriate unloading arrangements.
Unless specifically agreed in writing, delivery does not automatically include positioning, installation, removal of existing equipment or connection to gas, electrical, water or drainage services.
12. Delivery Access
The customer is responsible for checking that the delivery site has sufficient access for the equipment ordered.
This includes checking doorways, corridors, stairways, lifts, loading areas and other access restrictions.
Additional costs caused by incorrect access information, failed deliveries or specialist handling requirements may be charged where reasonably incurred.
13. Inspection on Delivery
Customers should inspect the external packaging and goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
Any visible damage should be recorded with the carrier where possible and reported to B7 Catering Ltd promptly.
Please provide photographs and relevant order information when reporting damaged goods to help us investigate the issue.
14. Cancellations & Consumer Rights
If you purchase as a consumer through an online or other distance sale, you may have a legal right to cancel certain orders within 14 days, subject to applicable exclusions and UK consumer law.
Business purchases do not automatically have the same cancellation rights as consumer purchases.
Bespoke, specially ordered, personalised or certain other goods may be excluded from cancellation rights where permitted by law.
Please contact B7 Catering Ltd before returning any product.
15. Returns
Returns must be authorised by B7 Catering Ltd before goods are sent back to us.
Unless the goods are faulty or your statutory rights provide otherwise, customers may be responsible for return delivery costs.
Goods should be securely packaged and returned with all accessories, documentation and original packaging where reasonably possible.
For business purchases or non-fault returns accepted at our discretion, a restocking or administration charge may apply where this has been agreed or notified before the return is accepted.
16. Faulty Goods
If you believe goods are faulty, please contact us promptly with your order details, a description of the issue and supporting photographs or videos where appropriate.
We may require reasonable diagnostic information before arranging a repair, replacement, inspection or other appropriate remedy.
Nothing in these terms affects statutory rights that apply to consumer purchases.
17. Warranty
Warranty coverage varies between products and manufacturers. The applicable warranty will be stated in the product description, quotation or supporting documentation where available.
Warranty may not cover faults caused by:
- Misuse, abuse or neglect
- Accidental or deliberate damage
- Incorrect installation
- Use contrary to manufacturer instructions
- Unauthorised repairs or alterations
- Unsuitable electrical, gas, water or drainage supplies
- Failure to carry out required cleaning or maintenance
- Normal wear and tear where applicable
If an engineer attends and determines that the reported issue is not covered by warranty, an attendance, labour or diagnostic charge may be payable where applicable.
18. Installation & Technical Requirements
Customers must check product dimensions, specifications and utility requirements before purchase and installation.
Commercial catering equipment must be installed and commissioned by appropriately competent and qualified persons where required.
Gas work must only be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer who is appropriately qualified for the relevant type of gas and commercial catering appliance.
Failure to follow manufacturer installation and maintenance instructions may affect warranty coverage.
19. Services, Repairs & Engineering
Service, maintenance, repair and engineering work will be carried out based on the information provided by the customer and the condition of the equipment at the time of inspection.
Additional faults, parts or work identified during an engineer visit may require a revised quotation or additional authorisation.
We cannot guarantee that every fault can be diagnosed or repaired during the first attendance.
20. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to applicable law, B7 Catering Ltd will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.
Business customers are responsible for maintaining appropriate business continuity arrangements and should not rely on a single item of equipment where equipment failure could cause significant operational loss.
21. Leasing & Third-Party Finance
Where equipment is purchased using leasing or third-party finance, separate terms and conditions issued by the relevant finance or leasing provider may apply.
Approval of finance is subject to the relevant provider's criteria and is not guaranteed by B7 Catering Ltd.
22. Force Majeure
B7 Catering Ltd will not be responsible for delay or failure to perform obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Such events may include severe weather, transport disruption, supplier failure, industrial disputes, utility interruption, government action, fire, flood or other exceptional circumstances.
23. Website Content & Copyright
Unless otherwise stated, website text, graphics, branding, page designs and original content belonging to B7 Catering Ltd are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Content may not be copied, reproduced, republished or commercially used without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
Manufacturer names, product images and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners where applicable.
24. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our business, website, services or legal requirements.
The latest version will be published on this page.
25. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts applicable under English and Welsh law, subject to any mandatory consumer rights regarding jurisdiction.
